Project Description

Clare and Ben had taken on a challenging conversion project and with them both working full time and to a budget, they needed the support of intuitive and communicative engineers. They had been living with no heating or hot water and given the complicated nature of the build, we returned several times, to help out by doing a split-install. Clare commented that she had never been happier, after finally having a hot shower in her own home, after we temporarily installed an ASHP-ready cylinder, utilising the emersion.

We returned to install a Wunda underfloor heating system, linked to an Ecodan ASHP and re-installed the cylinder. The team worked very hard but refreshingly, Clare was very supportive and whilst work is still ongoing, we wish them both the happiest of times in their warm new conversion.

“When we started our project, I knew I wanted an ASHP but didn’t know where to start. I was lucky enough to come across Dore Woodman. Jason and Ben were so helpful and friendly, not to mention patient, with all my questions.

We didn’t have a massive budget so Ben helped us work out a cost-effective solution. Not only did Dore Woodman help us with the heating but offered us advice and support at times when the build became a bit overwhelming.

After living in a motor home for 9 weeks I remember the night we had our first hot shower it felt so amazing, then a month or so later walking into the house after the underfloor heating had been installed it instantly made our home feel warm and cosy.

The team at Dore Woodman have been fantastic every step of the way and so accommodating when fitting in and around all the other tradesman. We are so impressed with our heating system you would never know its not a traditional boiler system and it is super quiet. We are very happy with it and I am proud we are doing our bit to support a more sustainable heating solution.

I couldn’t recommend Dore Woodman highly enough, they’re a fantastic team.”
